Reading

! knows all letter sounds

! identifies all upper and lowercase letters

Writing

! writing beginning and ending sounds of words

! putting spaces between words

! leaves spaces between words

! records vowels that are heard

! usually uses punctuation

! usually uses capitalization

! writing a complete sentence or thought

Spelling/Phonics

! earns 80% or better on work and tests
