B-Day

**If you borrowed an old cheerleading uniform for Homecoming, please return it to Mrs. Litchfield by Friday

 

** LOST RETAINER, FOUND IN THE LUNCH ROOM!!! Claim it in the high school office!!

 

* Congrats to the cross-country team on a good run at Nauvoo! Eli Hibbert placed 1st with 18:03 on a tough 3-mile course.

 

*No breakfasts will be served after 8:00- that includes juice or milk only. If you intend to eat a breakfast, be there by 7:55!!

 

*TEEN TOWN* starts October 11th at the Camp Point Community Building. 7pm- 10pm. It will be then held the second Saturday of every month alternating between Camp Point Community Building and Golden Community Building. For example: October 11th- Camp Point and November 8th- Golden and so on. Updates will be posted. The cost is $3.00 per person. There will be food available for purchase at a fair price (hot dogs, nachos, etc). Fun things for you to do will include music/ dancing, basketball, volleyball, movies and more. Come join the fun and bring a friend. Any questions, call Joyce Emerick at 696-2791.

 

* Twilight party for high school students at the Camp Point Library on Wednesday October 15th from 6:30- 7:30pm. There will be free prizes, extra credit and guitar hero. Come enjoy the fun!!

 

** ALL STUDENTS: please take off your locker decorations from homecoming week or else they’ll be taken down and thrown away during homeroom Friday.

 

**IMEA students only for morning chorus this week. Full morning chorus will resume on Oct. 13.

 

*Central High School parent-teacher conferences will be held on October 30th and 31st at the high school.   Conference hours will be from 4-8 on Thursday and 8-12 on Friday. Conferences will be by appointment with individual teachers in their classroom. To schedule a conference with a teacher please call the high school office at 593-7731 ext. 602.

***PLEASE DON’T PARK ON THE TENNIS COURTS!! JR HIGH WILL BE PLAYING TENNIS!! ALSO NO PARKING BY BUS FUELING TANKS OR IN FRONT OF THE BUS GARAGE!!!!

 

*The following students need to come to Ms. Kestner’s room (141) to have their Student of the Day picture taken: Rivir Zenk, Alex Williams, Courtney Snell, Becca Weaver, and Alex Kindhart.

 

WEIGHT SUITS: The five students with the weighted suits from this summer need to return them to coach Long ASAP because he needs to get them inventoried.

 

*The following students still need to pay the $13 for PSAT to Ms. Triplett by October 8th; NO EXCEPTIONS!!!! Carly Britt, Paige Foote, Haley Gawin, John Hibbert, Dawn March, Kyra Mayes, Michael Quigley, and Cassie Bauer. (If you have changed your mind about taking this test please tell Ms. Triplett)

The following students have 2007-2008 yearbooks reserved: Erin Henderson, Brittney Shaffer, Courtney Snell, and  Kayle Bruns. Please bring $40 ASAP in order to receive one. There is a very limited supply left, see Ms. Bauer to purchase one.

** A generous donation of $1000 was donated by ADM to our penny wars. This amount was split between children of employees, 8 classes were given $125 each.

 

SPORTS:

Boy’s Golf: Regional at Macomb; gone all day

Girl’s Golf: Regional at Arrowhead; gone all day

Girl’s basketball: all players need to stop by Coach Long’s office by Wednesday to get fitted for shoes

 

CLUBS: 

FBLA- Chapter meeting TODAY.  5th and 6th hour will both be in the AUDITORIUM.

FCCLA- meeting after school Thursday, October 9th from 3:00- 4:00

 

PARENTS: The guidance office will be presenting seminars on assessments and other academic planning during Parent- Teacher conferences on Thursday October 30th from 5pm- 7pm. The presentation schedule is as follows: 5pm- freshman parents; 5:30pm- sophomore parents; 6pm- junior parents; 6:30pm- seniors parents. These presentations are highly recommended and will offer insight in your child’s assessment scores, career planning, and what assessments your child will be taking through out high school. Reservations are not needed for these presentations, but keep in mind presentation times when scheduling your conferences.
