At the end of the first quarter, I will be assessing your child on the following things.  These are items that you can be working on at home to help your child!

 

Reading Expectations

 

The student can read and recognize 80% of the first quarter sight words.

 

The student can read at a Level C in Guided Reading.

 

Writing Expectations

 

The student can write beginning and ending sounds.

 

The student puts spaces between his/her words.

 

The student can write a complete thought or sentence.

 

Math Expectations

 

The student can correctly write, identify, and count numbers to 50.

 

The student can count by 1s to 25, 2s to 10, 5s to 25, and 10s to 100.

 

Spelling/Phonics Expectations

 

The student earns an 80% or better on any spelling tests or phonics work.
