Caring About Panther Students (CAPS)

Central Jr. High Caring About Panther Students (CAPS) program is designed to help students that are struggling with behavior, academic, health, and attendance issues. Students can be referred by parents, friends, or themselves. Forms are currently available outside of the Junior High office and will be available online soon. If a student wants to refer another student, they may do so anonymously by filling out a referral form and putting it in a locker that is decorated with Panther paws in their hallway. They may ask a teacher to help them with this process if needed. If a parent wants to refer their child, they may do so by filling out the online form (coming soon) or contacting a member of the CAPS team.

The CAPS team is made up of several certified staff members who have been trained to help students learn to manage problems that arise in these areas. The team consists of Mrs. Dierker, Mrs. Hetzler, Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Seneczko, Mr. Coggeshall, Mrs. Hildebrand, and Mr. Rhea. These adults work privately with students that are part of the program to help them learn how to deal with any issues they may have that are hindering their ability to do their best at school.
